A picture just might be worth a thousand words, and by using an intra-oral camera we can show you your tooth on a colour monitor. An intraoral camera is a tiny video camera that looks like a pen but has a resolution so fine that we can even show you a hairline crack in a tooth.
An intraoral camera is a powerful tool that enables detailed visual examinations (up to 40x magnification) of your teeth. This technology greatly enhances our ability to see problems and recommend treatment at the earliest and most preventable stages.
In order to continually provide you with the highest standard of dental care, we offer the most advanced dental technologies available including the intraoral camera. Our dentists will use this tiny, sterilised device to capture detailed images of the inside of your mouth. They will then show you the images so you can see exactly what they see, as well as have a better understanding of the health of your teeth and gums. This state-of-the-art technology also enables Star Smiles Dental Centre to maintain the most up-to-date records of your treatment.
Intraoral cameras are painless and allow patients to see problems with their teeth and/or gums including tarnished or corroded fillings, fractured teeth, tooth decay, and bleeding gums and plaque. With this cutting edge technology at their fingertips, our dentists and their patients are able to work together to determine the right treatment plan to restore their mouth to optimal health.
